An elegant and highly ornamental specimen or accent plant for the refined landscape, the ‘Well’s Emerald Creeper’ Norway Spruce is a rare and unique low growing and spreading selection featuring emerald green needles on graceful upswept branches. The branches run across the ground and will cascade over wall, boulders and rims of pots, planters and other containers. Excellent in rock or conifer gardens, to accentuate an entryway, or anywhere you want an outstanding feature plant that draws the eye and grabs attention.
Landscape & Garden Uses
Growing to around 2 feet tall and 5 to 6 feet wide, the ‘Well’s Emerald Creeper’ Norway Spruce is ideal for use as a focal point specimen. A fine accent in home foundation plantings, conifer gardens and rock gardens.

Growing Preferences
Well’s Emerald Creeper Norway Spruce is easy to grow in a damp to moist but well-drained soil of average fertility. As with so many other conifers, constantly soggy or wet soils can be problematic; leading to root rot or other harmful plant diseases. So make sure to plant this one in well-drained soil, whether in the ground or in pots. It grows best in full sun however in Zones 7b to 8a it will like some shade or filtered sun during the mid afternoon. Once established, water needs are quite low when growing in the ground. In pots, soil moisture will need to be monitored more closely, especially during summer. When the top two inches of soil is dry, provide water.
